NyOnlineRealty.com, Allspaces.com currently has a Web Developer available at 5020 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa Park, NY 11762. Some of the duties of this Part time position include: <\/p>\n
Job Summary: <\/p>\n
This employee has sufficient experience and expertise to perform multiple tasks\/assignments within projects or a full scope of activities for multiple small to medium size projects. Under general supervision, the Web Developer performs tasks including coding, testing, and design of new web sites. He\/She fully participates on a web development to execute standard processes and scripts. Failure to achieve results or incorrect decisions\/recommendations in this position may cause delays in project schedules and\/or deadlines, and may result in the allocation of additional resources. Work is reviewed for thoroughness and accuracy. <\/p>\n
Essential Responsibilities <\/p>\n
Analyzes HTML deliverables to confirm estimates are correct
\nAnticipates and mitigates risks before they impact project schedules
\nDevelops and maintains scalable web applications and technologies
\nConducts code reviews
\nCreates effective unit tests and performs unit testing ensuring that quality is consistently met and\/or exceeded
\nUnderstands inter-application dependencies
\nWorks with QA Analysts to resolve problems found in staging environments
\nCreates and updates technical standards and process documentation
\nCommunicates effectively with immediate supervisor, peers, project leaders, and team members <\/p>\n
Experience <\/p>\n
Employees in this job typically have two to six years of direct web development experience. Working knowledge of the following is required: <\/p>\n
\u2022 HTML, CSS, and web standards <\/p>\n
\u2022 Translate Photoshop mocks into web pages <\/p>\n
\u2022 Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) <\/p>\n
\u2022 Building B2C (business to consumer) web applications <\/p>\n
\u2022 ASP or PHP or a similar object-oriented server-side scripting language <\/p>\n
Required Skills <\/p>\n
Communicates thoughts, ideas and perspectives to others both verbally and in writing
\nShows initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
\nWorks cooperatively and effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals and results

Experience using JavaScript
\nExposure to AJAX, rich internet applications, and XML\/XSL
\nExposure to the processes of providing online data in the real estate industry
\nKnowledge and\/or administration of networks or intranets
\nTechnical writing and public speaking
\nContent and document management usage and knowledge
\nUsage of highly transactional databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
\nOutgoing personality and sense of humor <\/p>\n
